When
rumors surfaced many weeks agone claiming that AMD would launch Carrizo late
this year, we tend to tried to deflate them with smallest success. Now, AMD’s
company has taken to YouTube to demonstrate the new Carrizo APU and to
substantiate that each Carrizo and Carrizo-L won’t ship till the primary half
2015. Managing product narration is especially vital for an organization within
the thick of the type of transitions that AMD is experiencing, and also the
internet’s self-referential echo chamber will become a nightmare.
As
for the GPU facet, I still suspect we’ll see a Tonga-derived GPU core in AMD’s
next-generation of APUs that might happen on Carrizo, the 20nm die shrink of
cougar, or both. Again, we all know that AMD is functioning on advance memory
technologies, however it’s not about to deploy radical new memory innovations
on budget chips supposed for lower-end systems initial.
